One of those times was on the Christmas Eve of 2012 when he threw a lavish wedding anniversary party at Saint David’s Cathedral in Pembrokeshire, Wales in celebration of the 10th year anniversary. Stella Arroyave has been well rewarded by her husband for her role in helping him turn a new leaf. Hopkins has credited Stella, more so her calm personality with helping him achieve sobriety.
Anthony Hopkins had claimed that he met Stella at a time when he was at the lowest point in his life and was riddled by depression and alcoholism. Prior to her marriage to him, he had been married on two occasions to Petronella Barker and Jennifer Lynton in 19 respectively. Also present at the ceremony was Sir Anthony Hopkins’ mother, Annie Muriel. The wedding ceremony had Hollywood big names in attendance including the likes of actress Nicole Kidman, American filmmaker Steven Spielberg, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Winona Ryder. On March 1, 2003, the couple held their wedding ceremony in Malibu at Hopkins’ Clifftop mansion. Two years after they met, they decided to tie the knot as husband and wife. Arroyave is the writer and director of the 2019 film, Elyse which stars Anthony Hopkins, Lisa Pepper, Aaron Tucker, Francis Willard, Tara Arroyave, Anthony Apel, among several other notable actors and actresses. She moved to the United States from Cuba and got into the art dealership line of trade. Her popular works include The Human Stain which was released in 2003 and Slipstream (directed by her husband Anthony Hopkins) released in 2007. She is married to veteran Hollywood actor Sir Anthony Hopkins. She is a film producer, writer, and actress of Columbian nationality. Stella Arroyave is a former dealer in art and antiques.
